In December 2000, the Durham Assessment Centre won a National Training Award for one of its NVQ programmes, and was highly commended for another.
Again in December 2001 one of our candidates won a National Training Award, for outstanding commitment to NVQs, and for transferring their learning to their work role, thus benefiting service users.
In July 2001 one of the Centre's candidates awarded a Medal for Excellence by the City and Guilds, for the standard of work produced in their portfolio, and for transferring their learning to their working role.
Following a visit from the External Verifier in 2007, Durham Assessment Centre received all A's in Care and in Teaching Assistants; with high B's for the A1 programme.
